For the ninth consecutive season, Toccoa Falls College has been invited to the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA) World Series in Mason, Ohio. The World Series will be hosted by Prasco Park on May 25-28. The Screaming Eagles (21-23) will open pool play on Wednesday against the World Series’ top seed, Oklahoma Baptist University.
In addition to Oklahoma Baptist, Toccoa Falls and head coach Nate Bowen have been grouped in Pool A with #4 Judson University, #5 Oakland City University, and #9 Hiwassee College. The top two teams from Pool A will advance to the single elimination semifinals and face the top two teams from Pool B. The following teams will comprise Pool B: #2 Campbellsville University, #3 Southwestern Christian University, #6 Warner University, #7 Trinity Christian College, and #10 Bethesda University.
Following TFC’s opening game with Oklahoma Baptist on Wednesday at 2PM on Prasco Park field, Toccoa will play #5 Oakland City (1PM) and #9 Hiwassee (4PM) on Thursday. Both games on Thursday will be played on Legacy Field. The Screaming Eagles will conclude pool play on Friday at 11AM against #4 Judson on Prasco Park field. The World Series semifinals will be played at 5PM and 6PM on Friday, and the World Series championship will be played at 1PM on Saturday.
Toccoa Falls has received a World Series bid every since 2008, the longest streak in NCCAA baseball. TFC has won the World Series four times; 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2012.
